We are a small but extremely talented team of people who are focused on providing small businesses with those potentially outsourceable services that can often be time consuming and detract from their core business activity and more importantly driving higher income levels from their businesses.
We have noted some of our experience by introducing you to three key members of our team below:
Laura's background is predominantly in the field of organisational strategy design and related commodities procurement. She has been a successful Franchisor and therefore understands the needs of small business proprietors and managers.
During her early career, she worked as a PA at director level and then moved into sales and marketing within the electronics, financial services and advertising industries. Her role was very much geared towards understanding client and management needs when outsourcing their in house services.
Laura has run her own business setting up and managing a successful interior design company. While the company initially directed their services towards the domestic market they very quickly progressed to large scale projects working with architects, building companies, property developers and buildings maintenance specialists. She has also run a facilities management consultancy where she was also responsible for all the day to day administration and financial and accountancy procedures. She also runs a coaching business working with people from all sectors both professional and personal and specialises in working with people who are starting their own business or looking for a career change.
Laura's experience is wide and varied providing an understanding of the importance of how specific outsourced services can not only help to make a small business more efficient, but equally importantly helping them with their cost to income ratios via their administrative and bookkeeping systems.
Tony worked with the Forte Group with its outsourced contracts division. During his time with Forte, he progressed to a number of senior roles, culminating in one of the Group's senior positions of Divisional Managing Director responsible for 130 diverse large and small business contracts that employed over 1500 staff. This period gave him a vast amount of experience in not only understanding his clients service level expectations but more importantly developing his team to meet client objectives. He now uses this experience to assist small businesses to achieve their optimum performance levels.
During the past fourteen years he has worked for both large corporate and small companies which has included setting up a number of small businesses including a franchised online design business. He understands the attention to detail, transition and disciplines needed to become a successful and profitable small business.
Tony has developed a "hands on" reputation for going beyond the remit of just providing solutions for his clients, which means not only advising them but more importantly he applies himself to getting on with the detail until his clients assignment reach a successful conclusion.
Stewart spent most his early working life in the retail and service industry. This was quickly followed by ten years in the Financial Services and Banking sectors which included the roles of business analyst and then moving towards the very progressive and fluid area of developing internet based Commercial, Corporate and Retail propositions for small business clients.
His role was to consider customer preferences trends and product ranges within specific markets. This role was extremely client and customer focused, requiring high levels of analytical ability. In particular when evaluating and restructuring client based services, contractors and suppliers service level agreements.
Stewart's role in Balance is to adapt his "clear vision" approach to working with clients when reviewing their outsourced secretarial, bookkeeping and budgeting services on an individual basis, which will not only include collating and analysing in house and contracted out projects, but more importantly provide initial and longer term solutions (financial and operational) in order to develop "cultural" standards of excellence.
